.....in spite of the old saying 'blue and green should never be seen' Phooey!

My mum used to have a saying that went “blue and green should never be seen”.  What a lot of rubbish that is.  I just love these colours together, and I’m so going to miss this years ‘In Colours’.  There is not one that I don’t love.

I found this template on Splitcoast and have been busting to try it since.  Hope you love the colours as much as I do.

Peek-a-boo lolly jar

Peek-a-boo lolly jar

I found these cute peek-a-boo containers on Splitcoast and just had to have a try.  I think they will look sensational for Easter with some chocolate eggs inside.  What do you think?

The lid is not stuck down and lifts off via the ribbon for easy access to the booty inside.

I’m considering adding this container to my regular container class.

This one is for a boy who loves these Summer Fruit Lollies.  Hmmmm…might go off and make a girlie one now………

All Stampin’Up! products. Of course!

Except the clear acetate.

Stamp set – Boho Background

DS Paper – Wanted

Cardstock – Really Rust and River Rock

Ink – Chocolate Chip

Ribbon – Chocolate Chip taffeta

Punch – Scallop Circle, 1 1/2 inch, 1 inch and the baby one (whatever measurement that may be!)

Fabulous Flo’s Fantastic Fiesta

A special card for a very beautiful young woman

A special card for a very beautiful young woman

My beautiful daughter, Aedita, is known in our family as ‘Flo’.  My big brother named her that before she was a week old.  The week she was born a wee boat by the name of ‘The Florrie’ arrived into Ballina.  My brother thought that the arrival of two beautiful women in one week heralded a ‘naming’.  So Flo she is!

Anyways,  my beautiful girl had a birthday recently and this is the card that I created for her.  She has just moved from W.A. back to New South.  (smart girl!)  I love my girl more than my next breath, so it was a labour of love to make this for her.  I pray that this year is ‘her year’ and a time for her to truly Embrace Life……..

Unfortuntely there is a non-Stampin’Up! item.  The flower is a ‘ring-in’ but the colours were so Flo that I just had to use it.  She’s an earth element girl too.

Stamp set – Embrace Life! (tired of it it???)

Cardstock – whisper white

Inks – chocolate chip, pretty in pink

Technique – Watercolouring with aqua pen and ink pad

Ribbon – choc chip grosgrain – wide

Hurry back tomorrow ’cause I’m in the midst of making some wee acetate boxes.  Yummmmy!

Out of the blue a friend appears
Out of the blue a friend appears

A dear girl sent me flowers this week.  We don’t know each other very well (yet……) and I didn’t realise that she was into mind reading.  I was in serious need of of pick-me-up when her bouquet arrived at my house.  My mojo has been on holidays lately but I’ve rallied this morning to create this thank you card.  Nothing like stepping out of your comfort zone big time is there.  These are not my usual colours, the stamp set (Simply Said) usually sits on my shelf – untouched!  and I’ve not used the felt flowers before!

I hope you like it,  it’s growing on me……………………………and I think I hear the taxi arriving with my mojo returning from a well earned rest………………
Thank you dear friend!
