Naughty or Nice?

December 24, 2008

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last week or so our famikly had to travel to Sydney to our son’s wedding on 20/12.  Now we are home and recovering from the trip and celebrations.

Santa is due tonight so we are having an early night.  Our grand daughter, Tannikah, is here for Christmas.  It’s the first time that I’ve had the opportunity to view her opening her presents.  So I cannot wait until tomorrow.  The camera is ready!  Do hope Santa is also!!!!

The Elite Stampin’Up! forum to which I belong had a ‘secret santa’ and mine arrived in the mail yesterday.  I cannot wait to open it.  Tomorrow I will post pictures, so come back and see what the santa has sent me from Stampin’Up!

Have a safe and holy Christmas everyone.

The newest member to my team!

The newest member to my team!

I’d like to introduce you to the newest member of my team.  Her name is Chutney.  My friend, Nancye, gave her to me as a retirement gift, to keep me company in my studio whilst I stamp away merrily.
Chutney will accompany me on all my outings to craft fairs etc. so stay tuned for the ‘Adventures of Chutney’.  She’s very ‘country’ looking don’t you think?

Third design in the Big on Spring stamp set

Third design in the Big on Spring stamp set

Love may be in the air but here at McKees Hill it’s amongst my portulacas and petunias!  (gotta love a summer garden).

This is the third stamp in this set.  It’s gorgeous, and with Valentine’s on the horizon why not?  I think this is also a romantic card to give a fellow romantic for chrissy.  Can you tell we have a houseload of romantics living here?

Carstock – Regal rose and rose red

DS – Rose red

Wording coloured with rose red marker.

Ribbon is the wide, double stitched, rose red from the new summer mini also.  The heart has been mounted with a glue dot and then covered in dimensional to give it it’s shine.

The background has been put through the cuttlebug.

So why not break with tradition and give that special person in your life a LOVE card this Christmas.  I think I might give that gorgeous man of mine this card.

For the Bride to Be

Second design in the Big on Spring stamp setSecond design in the Big on Spring stamp set

This is the second design in this gorgeous stamp set.  I’ve  made this card for my new daughter-in-law-to-be,  Amber.  My son Tony and Amber are to be married in Sydney on 20th December.  I thought I would just put this card into the mail to her this week as a special surprise before the ceremony.  The supplies used are:

Cardstock – Almost amethyst (I have just found this colour and I’m loving it), whisper white

I used my write markers to colour the flowers and the wording, I then added some dimensionals to the flowers.  The brads are barely banana from the soft subtles colour range.

The background card has been put through my Cuttlebug machine for the swirls.

Tomorrow will be the third and final design from the Big on Spring stamp set, so stay tuned.  It’s another goodie/must have.
